World Leaders

7
Vote

by user Deems123

Yesterday, as the countdown for the space shuttle counted down, North Korea decided to Test-fire a few missiles. Their biggest missile, the TaePodong2 fell in the Sea of Japan less the 40 seconds into the Launch. Which has me thinking - which sports star would be the worst world Leader, and who would be the best.

I think Ozzie Guillen would definitely be a terrible leader of a nation, just because he would offend so many people. However, at least in his country you wouldn't have to be politically correct, which wouldn't be too bad. I do think however, his countrymen would have his back and support him. He would have to be a dictator of a country.

As far as a good World Leader, who would be better than Tom Brady? He's a great leader on the field, and he never misses a day of work. He's been on SNL and he was pretty funny. He is as cool as the other side of the pillow, and he never is overwhelmed by anything. He would be a good leader for any Democracy.

this smells like politics... Vote: None of the below!!! (Does Brewster's Millions qualify as a sports movie?)

I often think while at the voting booth "would this candidate handle hosting SNL well?"

Despite the Sportscenter reference, this is a good idea to think about. And hosting SNL shows charisma, a valuable quality in a leader. I think the best leader would be an experienced football coach. Many of the early football strategies found their roots in military combat manuevers, giving him an advantage. Also, the logistics of coaching a football team, the motivational speeches, and the ability to pleased the widest varieties of personalities would give a football coach the decisive victory. Maybe a Lombardi, Halas, Hayes, someone like that. No every football coach though, Madden couldn't even run for sheriff of my town

Nope, nothing journalist about me. Maybe if I flub up some grammar I can go back into hiding. I just found this site a few days ago, and appreciate the discourse however. Still trying to get the hang of some things.

The big tuna would be great. Or Pinella, Bobby V. But they might be a bit too rough around the edges to get the popular vote. Torre would probably win but I don't think he would be effective.

Tito Francona would be terrible because of his tobaccy. Nobody would be able to understand him at State of the Union adresses.
