World Cup final now approaching

So, after god knows how many weeks and some rather unsavoury issues, the final of the ICC world cup is now upon us.

After some ordinary form leading up to it, Australia are entering this and overwhelming favourites. This is largely because of our old, over rated pace man Glen Mcgrath. His form has been brilliant and if he will enter this, his final ever game, full of confidence and looking at securing the player of the tournament title.

The Sri lankans though will be thinking they can knock off the Aussies. Any team that has trhe chucker, Mulralitharan, in the team has to be feard.

I for one will eb staying up late on Sat night (Australian time) to watch this and reccomend everyone else in the world to do the same

The World Cup hasn't really taken off at all this time, sadly. Australia will of course be favourites, but much of the cricketing fraternity will be rooting for Sri Lanka. Murali is no "chucker", he cannot possibly bowl properly due to his arm, and he bowls as well as he can. McGrath is not over-rated - he gets the ball accurately where he needs to, which is a good attribute. A rematch of the 1996 Final when everyone thought Australia would win, too. Australia is better on paper, and should win, but you never know. I hope Sri Lanka win it.
