Woody Wheaton (Elwood Pierce Wheaton) was born on October 3, 1914 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 28, 1943 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Wheaton played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 2 year career.
