Woody Thompson (Alexander Woodrow Thompson) was born on August 20, 1952 in Erie, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at East (Erie, PA), Thompson attended the University of Miami. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1977 was Woody Thompson's best year.
