Woody Rich

Born on March 9, 1916 in Morganton, North Carolina, Woody Rich (Woodrow Earl Rich) played for the Boston Red Sox and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career. Rich broke into the bigs on April 22, 1939 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.91 ERA in 77 innings pitched in 1939, his rookie year.
