Woody Jensen

Woody Jensen (Forrest Docenus Jensen) was born on August 11, 1907 in Bremerton, Washington. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1931 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1931, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 3 home runs and 17 RBI. Jensen played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 9 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Woody Jensen's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1936, when he hit for a .283 average and knocked in 58 runs. However, others believe that it was 1935, when he hit for a .324 average and knocked in 62 runs.
