According to a recent Quinnipiac University poll, New York is still a Yankees town by a margin of 52% for the Yankees to 38% for the Mets "People tend to go with the winner, and the Yankees have been winners,” said Maurice Carroll. However, women prefer the Yankees to the Mets by a margin of 52 to 30%, while men root for the Mets over the Yankees 43 to 41%, the poll found.
