Wolves Fire Casey

The Minnesota Timberwolves have fired head coach Dwayne Casey after one game under a season and a half. Casey was 53-69 in his tenure as the Wolves coach, just above the Team's average.

Kevin McHale had this to say at his press conference: "We started the season with certain goals and expectation that have not been met." What these goals are is a mystery to most people. A team with KG, Randy Foye, and a Rashad McCants who hasn't played all year can't be expected to produce more than a .500 record.

There are two things that might have tipped the scales in favor of this firing. First, it has been said that owner Glen Taylor has been pushing for him to be fired for a while now, citing personality reasons. Second, it has been reported that after being benched by Cassey a few nights ago, Ricky Davis confronted McHale about the situation and told McHale he could have him, or Cassey.

Guess the T-wolves are getting really desperate. They are in the wrong conference. They are simply not good enough to contend. So what happens in this situation? First the coach gets whacked. Then there will be trades. And after that, FULL rebuilding mode.

what needs to happen is for Taylor to Fire McHale, and replace him with Fred Hoiberg, who then trades KG and Ricky Davis for Tyrus Thomas, Ben Gordon, and a First Round Draft pick. Or, with Fred, the Wolves rebuild to win KG a ring. essentally, McHale needs to be fired

I got a better idea.

Taylor needs to sell the team.

This franchise ain't getting better anytime soon.

Casey is a great guy and I felt bad for him. He had to go, but he should be commended for trying make something out of this roster.

MCHale needs to leave before getting rid of Taylor. Are you kidding? This team is getting better quickly. Next year they will start KG, Foye, McCants, Blount and Craig Smith. Of those, 3 have less that 3 years experience, and all will make an impact quickly. This team is getting good fast if they don't trade away all of theor first roubd picks.

Cassey needed to Go? So let me get this straight...You want to fire a coach after 1 1/2 years for getting a bottom 10 team into the playoffs? They are currently the 8th seed in the West. If you honestly think that they could have done better with this roster, then you are just as bad as McHale.

McHale has lied to everyone. When he hired Wittman before the season began, he said that Wittman was not going to replace Cassey, and wittman was brought in to his job as the ASSISTANT HEAD COACH.

Casey did fine, but he was a poor tactical coach. He was never going to take this team anywhere. I wanted a guy like Silas, Adelman, or Van Gundy. I also want better players. I am just tired of McHale, Glen Taylor. I am tired of losing. It's been the same old stuff with this organization. It's tiring. We are one of the worst teams in basketball.
