Winter Meetings Rumblings

Around the Majors: -The Arizona Diamondbacks shipped Carlos Quentin to the Chicago White Sox in return for power hitting prospect, Chris Carter. I like this deal for both sides, especially the White Sox because they needed to fill some of their holes in the outfield. Plus, Arizona didn't do too bad considering Quentin was the odd man out in 2008 and wouldn't recieve adaquete playing time to boost his value.
-Even though the Marlins' owners nixed the Miguel Cabrera deal, I wouldn't be suprised to see a deal get done sometime in the near future.
-The Red Sox expressed interest in both Dan Haren and Ben Sheets. Sheets is interesting because of his injury issues, but that would definitely lower his value. Erik Bedard's name has also been tossed around, even though I doubt Baltimore Orioles owner, Peter Angelos, would let him be dealt. He does have a nack for blocking deals. I also wonder whether the Red Sox will revisit Rich Harden considering they expressed interest in him in the past.
-Apparently, Andruw Jones recieved a two-year offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers at 32M. I would expect something closer to 38M if this were to happen. Boras is seeking a Torii Hunter-like deal at 5 years, 90M. I don't see this happening at all. Boras should seriously consider taking a one-year offer from a team and boost his value back to where it was a year ago.
