Winnie Denton (Winfield Kirkpatrick Denton) was born on October 28, 1896 in Evansville, Indiana. After going to high school at Central (Evansville, IN), Denton attended Depauw University. Denton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Evansville Crimson Giants. He played for the Evansville Crimson Giants for his entire 1 year career.
