This just flew over the wire, but reports have Boston Red Sox outfielder Wily Mo Pena being traded to the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later. Cash considerations will be accompanying the him to Chocolate City.
More details will follow as they are made known, but one of the most mocked of the Red Sox players might be a good fit for the Nationals. His tenure in the National League was not that bad as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. Between 2002-05, he hit 51 home runs in 302 games.
But considering that was the roaring days of steroids, it will remain to be seen if that's a realistic expectation in Washington.
