Wilson Schwenk (Wilson R. Schwenk) was born on August 26, 1918 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Beaumont (St.Louis, MO), Schwenk attended Washington University in St. Louis. Schwenk made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Cardinals the entire time. Schwenk also played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the New York Yankees, Baltimore Colts and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 3 year AAFC career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Wilson Schwenk's best year, as he threw for 2236 yards and tossed 13 TDs.
