Born on August 20, 1910 in Wilmington, Delaware, Bill Crouch (Wilmer Elmer Crouch) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 3 year career. Crouch broke into the bigs on May 9, 1939 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 3.81 ERA in 104 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.
