Willy Tate (William R. Tate) was born on September 7, 1972 in Fontana, California. After going to high school at Elk Grove (CA), Tate attended the University of Oregon. Tate made his professional debut in the NFL in 1996 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 2 year career.
