Willie Upshaw (Willie Clay Upshaw) was born on April 27, 1957 in Blanco, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1978 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 1 home run and 17 RBI. Upshaw played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Willie Upshaw's best season was 1983, when he slugged 27 home runs, hit for a .306 average and knocked in 104 runs.
