Willie Halpern (Robert William Halpern) was born on July 10, 1908 in Brooklyn, New York. Halpern attended City College of New York. Halpern made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Staten Island Stapletons. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons for his entire 1 year career.
