Willie Daniel (William Paul Daniel) was born on November 10, 1937 in New Albany, Mississippi. After going to high school at Macon (MS), Daniel attended Mississippi State University. Daniel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1962 was Willie Daniel's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
