Willie Buchanon (Willie James Buchanon) was born on November 4, 1950 in Oceanside, California. After going to high school at Oceanside (CA), Buchanon attended MiraCosta College and San Diego State University. Buchanon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1978 was Willie Buchanon's best year, as he picked off 9 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
