Born on December 18, 1965 in Paintsville, Kentucky, Willie Blair (William Allen Blair) played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Detroit Tigers, New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 12 year career. Blair broke into the bigs on April 11, 1990 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and put up a 4.06 ERA in 68.2 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Willie Blair's best season was 1997, when he posted a 4.17 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 90 batters.
