Born on February 27, 1969 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Willie Banks (Willie Anthony Banks) played for the Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Florida Marlins, New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 9 year career. Banks broke into the bigs on July 31, 1991 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 5.70 ERA in 71 innings pitched in 1992, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Willie Banks's best season was 1993, when he posted a 4.04 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 138 batters.
