Bill Collins (William Shirley Collins) was born on March 27, 1882 in Chesterton, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1910 for the Boston Doves. In 1910, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 3 home runs and 40 RBI. Collins played for the Boston Doves, Chicago Cubs, Boston Rustlers, Brooklyn Superbas and Buffalo Blues over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Bill Collins's best season was 1910, when he stole 36 bases.
