Born on June 23, 1900 in Wylie, Texas, Bill Harris (William Milton Harris) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 7 year career. Harris broke into the bigs on April 22, 1923 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 5.17 ERA in 69.2 innings pitched in 1923, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Harris's best season was 1932, when he posted a 3.64 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 63 batters.
