William Marriott (William Earl Marriott) was born on August 18, 1893 in Pratt, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1917 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .268 with 1 home run and 40 RBI. Marriott played for the Chicago Cubs, Boston Braves and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 6 year career.
