William Fischer (William Charles Fischer) was born on March 2, 1891 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on June 9, 1913 for the Brooklyn Superbas. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 1 home run and 12 RBI. Fischer played for the Brooklyn Superbas, Chicago Whales, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that William Fischer's best season was 1915, when he hit for a .329 average and knocked in 50 runs.
