Born on March 14, 1921 in Carnesville, Georgia, Bill Kennedy (William Aulton Kennedy) played for the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 8 year career. Kennedy broke into the bigs on April 26, 1948 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 5.21 ERA in 143.1 innings pitched in 1948, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Kennedy's best season was 1952, when he posted a 2.80 ERA.
