Willard Dewveall (Willard Charles Dewveall) was born on April 29, 1936 in Springtown, Texas. After going to high school at Weatherford (TX), Dewveall attended Southern Methodist University. Dewveall made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time. Dewveall also played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1963 was Willard Dewveall's best year, as he hauled in 58 receptions, had 752 receiving yards and caught 7 TD passes.
