Will The Badgers Get The Last Growl?

"Like any animal fighting on its own territory, the Badger is more forceful than the invading Wolverine.
In any situation, few can beat the Badger with its long claws and sharp teeth, and with a body so low that an enemy cannot move in effectively.
The Wolverines have less at stake all along, and so, they move away and resume their lives of restless wandering. But the Badger gets the last growl, and the right to live and hunt one more day."(Marty Stouffer, www.waol.com/)
How true this story in nature rings, however, the Badgers are in the territory of the Wolverines this year. Will that make any difference? In the slightest way, I think it will. As I've said before, you can't pick a game in the Big Ten by stats alone (I believe this holds more true here than any other conference). These two teams play close games. In 02' Michigan won by 7 in the second half. In 05' Wisconsin won by 3 and come back to do it in the 4th.
Michigan SHOULD cover their 14, but they probably won't.
The should at least win, all the stats say so, and they probably will, barely.
Michigan needs the win, but, just as Mr. Stouffer says, Badgers are stubborn, and Wisconsin "wants it" more than any game this season. The team stats are almost dead even, with Michigan ahead (by the hair of a gnats ass) in every category, although you have to note Michigan's schedule, which has been a little tougher so far, so the stats are somewhat misleading in their favor. I think the difference will be the kicking game. Michigan will drive to within range more often, and that will be the deicing factor on saturday. I can't wait to see this one....it could go either way, but I have to say Michigan by 3...this year.
