Will Smalley (William Darwin Smalley) was born on June 27, 1871 in Oakland, California. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1890 for the Cleveland Spiders. In 1890, his rookie year, he hit .213 with 0 home runs and 42 RBI. Smalley played for the Cleveland Spiders and Washington Senators over the course of his 2 year career.
