Will Priest Retire?

Bad news on a personal level, but given Larry Johnson's performance a year ago in Priest's stead, I'm not shedding any tears for Kansas City.

I think the coaches and GM think that he will retire given that they are talking to Michael Bennett. Not having the starting job anymore, there's very little for him to come back to now, especially with the risk of re-injury.

I can't imagine he won't retire. He can't even get cleared to play in summer scrimmages. How on earth can he expect to be ready at any point this season. I mean, the guy temporarily lost feeling in his arm when he took that hit last year. It's time for him to retire. I'm not crying for the Chiefs, but it is really sad to see a really good back go out like this, and still fairly early in his career.

Does anyone else think there is the possibility that he'll sit out half the year or the whole year and try to come back next season?

There's always that possibility, but I think it would be a bad choice. Retire now while he can still walk, and before he goes down as the guy that didn't know when to quit.
