Why the Hell Did A-Rod Make a Curtain Call Tonight?!

by Fakegeorge

From the desk of Fake George Steinbrenner:

Did you see that?! I was watching it from the comfort of my owner's box and I couldn't believe it. A-Rod hits a one-run homer. We were already up 2 runs and his shot puts us up by 3. Nobody is calling his name or anything and next thing you know, Mr. Ego hops out of the dugout and doffs his cap!

What the hell?! Hey A-Rod, how about waiting till the fans call for you next time?

Apparently he's psychic. He knew it would be the deciding run.

he knew there was a chance Farnsworth would be in the game and every run would be needed, does that make him psychic... perhaps

ESPN was covering the game, that's why. Maybe he's just just quoting Cynthia's t-shirt?

Maybe he was setting free an endangered wild butterfly that was trapped in his batting helmet?

He was waving goodbye. Some of the fans in the Stadium are attending their last game of this season, which means they will never see ARod in a Yankee uniform again.

A-Rod gets so much shit from the idiot NY fans so maybe that is his way of saying I CAN'T WAIT to hit home runs against the Yankees next year. Every NY fan will be bitching about how Cashman didn't resign the best player in baseball. I just hope the Tigers are a team A-Rod will consider.

Maybe it wasn't a curtain call so much as a goodbye. Who knows what he is going to do least of all his agent who on local TV last week didn't have any answers either to the question is he staying or leaving except to say only ARod knows. It is beginning to sound like a cheap novel with no real meaning or end in site.

Your team has Manny Ramirez...at least A-Rod tries...reminds me of the conversation I had with two of my buddies 2 nights ago as we watched the game (living in Boston, you end up watching a ton of sox games...)

Manny had just attempted to scoop up a ball that had flied in front of him as a yankee (i forget who) was runnign towards second...pretty routine double, except manny missed the scoop and tried to throw, but there was no ball...

Manny is a pretty bad outfielder, but for some reason, he's good at playing the wall in fenway...my theory as that most players overrun the ball when it bounces, but manny, because he's so lazy and slow, doesn't...and it bounces right to him...
