Why do you vote on an article?

I've seen some real garbage get vote after vote. One liners that aren't funny or notworthy. Three lines that say nothing. Take this: Andruw Jones.........Braves should trade!

Why? Perhaps I just don't get it.

I don't vote on one liners. I vote for things I think are interesting and comment-worthy. I vote for some things that appear well thought out, even if I disagree.

I only read articles that grab my attention. If they're not spam or something, then it gets my vote.

I vote for well written articles, and automatically for a couple of people. I vote for some teasers, but as a general rule I avoid voting for them
