Why Do We Suddenly Hate Lofton?

Honestly, every media outlet in Cleveland is solely blaming this loss on Kenny Lofton. Firstly, the base-running move was all the fault of Joel Skinner. Why suddenly are you blaming it on Kenny, the heart and soul of this team in the postseason. Did Lofton pitch hit after hit to the Red Sox? Did Lofton hit .000 in the last four games of the ALCS? No, and for the record that was Hafner. Now Lofton was amazing in the playoffs, but suddenly this is his fault? Here’s who’s to blame:
- Travis Hafner: He’s been called the Jim Thome of this decade, I don’t see it If he's going to play like this in the postseason, this series he hit .147, he hit 0 in the last four games.
- Rafael Perez: He collapsed in the postseason, posting an ERA of 47.00 in one inning of work.
- Franklin Gutierrez: He had errors in right, and he hit 100 something.
- Joel Skinner (Third Base coach): He stopped Lofton at third base, if he would have scored; they game would have been tied.
There’s lots more, but DON’T blame it on Lofton.
