Who would you like to win the World Cup - France or Italy?

With today's 1-0 victory, the World Cup Final is now staged for this coming Sunday with France taking on Italy. Zinedine Zidane provided the scoring on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute.

The story lines are there. Will Zidane take the French to the promised land and ensure his place as perhaps the best soccer player of all time? Should the French win, it will be his second World Cup title to go along with three FIFA World Player of the Year Awards and a Euro2000 championship.

Despite the controversy surrounding them, the Italians have been nothing short of dominant in this World Cup, with their only goal against being scored on an own goal vs. the Americans in Round 1. A victory on Sunday would give Team Italy a fourth World Cup and first since 1982.

Who would you like to see walk away with the ugliest trophy in all of sports?

France all the way. I like Zidane and Henry, and I can't stand those diving cheaters that call themselves Italy.

I totally agree. I had no feelings towards France (with soccer anyway) until I watched Zidane dominate the quarterfinal match against Brazil. They are so damn fun to watch, and I'd like to see them take it home.

Italy. They are the better team. Also, France won it in 1998, whereas Italy last won it in 1982. So it would be good for Italy to win it. If Zambrotta can get forward from RB for Italy, I think he'll have a field day against the French Left Back, who was a bit poor last night.

i am partial to France 2-0 win zidane and henry both score in zidane's last match.

i am Majority Polish so i would want Poland, or the USA i am very Patriotic.

but i hope italy loses...why ? i just don't like them....reasons unknown but they are the same reasons/feelings i have about the carolina hurricanes and the detroit red wings. i hate them also and HATE is a strong word!
