The South Sider’s went into today’s game on a two game losing streak. Many fans are starting to think that this is a sign of things to come with the All Star break right around the corner. On Friday night, with only two hits, both by Jermaine Dye, the White Sox found a way to score early and often on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles.

Scott Podsednik started off the game with a double. Jim Thome got him home with sacrifice fly and the Sox never looked back. Both Juan Uribe and Paul Konerko each had a three run Home Run on this sunny Fourth of July and that was all scored by the bottom of the third inning making the Orioles down zero to 11. The Sox tied up the series with a 13 to zero game at the Cell.

Orioles starting pitcher Rodrigo Lopez got roughed up for nine runs and ten hits over 2 2/3 innings. Jose Contreas added another win to his column with 9 for the year but continues his winning streak from last season with his 17th straight decision. Contreas retired the first six batters today and went a scoreless 6 2/3 innings while just giving up six hits, three strike outs and one walk.

As expected, Iguchi did not start today after the spill he had with Dye from Friday night. Iguchi is listed as day to day with a light sprain to his left ankle.

Any White Sox fans that quit believing are stupid. You guys won the WS last year and are definately going to make the Playoffs. Y'all need to loosen up and be happy you have the white sox.

I could not agree more Deems. I am biased Sox fan myself. All teams are going to hit skids and I would not call losing two games in a row a skid, especially when one of the loses was to a great pitcher in Baltimore who is on fire. The Sox beat the Tigers 5 out of 6 times this year and still have 13 more meetings. The Sox are up 7 games in the Wild Card as of now. No worries here ,mate. The White Sox will be back.

Ya as a Sox fan, with many other Sox fans I don't remember any of us being worried after a 2 game "losing streak" We're more in the business of running a pool about which day we think we pass the Tigers for good.
