Whit Canale (John Whitfield Canale) was born on December 27, 1941 in Sarasota, Florida. After going to high school at Catholic (Memphis, TN), Canale attended the University of Tennessee. Canale made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Boston Patriots and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1968 was Whit Canale's best year.
