Where is the love?

Why is there no love for Michigan sports? If anyone can answer this question please let me know.We get no love from the commentators. Look at the all the teams for instance.
Detroit Lions -Record 5-2 after coming off some of the worst seasons that we have ever seen. When asked should Rod Marinelli win coach of the year as of so far in the season? Jimmie Johnson says not sure but he does see how they are improving. The Lions haven't won more than 6 games since 2000. No one predicts them to win week in,week out. But yet they still keep coming to play I expect great things to come in the next couple of years. Yes we did get killed in both the losses this year, but we are a young team and will contend for the NFC North crown this year, and a berth in the Super Bowl in the next couple of years.
Detroit Pistons -For the past 3-4 years, they have been beating up on everyone in the Eastern Confrence. This year when talks about who will make it to the NBA finals what team is left out? Yep you guessed it, the Pistons. Yes, Boston does have the big 3, but have they won any regular season games together yet? Cleveland has the LeBron James show, they have always been tough for Detroit to get past. Now I keep hearing about Chicago, if they do get Kobe this may be a different story, but have faith in Joe D who has traded away Grant Hill for Rip, hmm, let me think who got the better deal there. Don't you think he may know something about Big Ben? Just a thought.
Detroit Red Wings -I don't follow that much NHL,but they are about the only team that does get any love.
Detroit Tigers -Since the acquisition of Jim Leyland, the Tigers have been MLB contenders, yes they did fall apart after the all-star break, but every team is going to have injuries. We got really hurt by them in our pitching staff. When talks about next year and who is going to make the playoffs and contend for the World Series, Detroit is not even mentioned. Curtis Granderson is not even mentioned for any league awards, but I bet if you had him on your fantasy team he was one heck of a pickup.
University of Michigan Football -Yes we did lose to Applachian State, a team that always seems to contend for a national championship in NCAA Div II. Then they lose to Oregon, who by the way is now ranked 5th in the most recent BCS poll. Michigan, who since the Oregon game has just kept on winning, and moving up polls. But do the "experts" say that they have a chance to beat Ohio State? Nope. Yes they are finally ranked 12th, but the Nation's 7th leading rusher who has not played the last two weeks, is not even in the Heisman talk. Mike Hart has put this team on his back after those two losses and has been an amazing leader for those Wolverines.
Just a thought that maybe its time to start considering us in some talk about being Champions.
