Where Will Mourinho Land?

Former Chelsea and F.C. Porto manager Jose Mourinho is the question of much speculation over where he land following his sudden departure from Stamford Bridge. It does seem that "The Special One" is ready to get right back to work. The Times of London quoted Mourinho as saying, "I'm going to wait for the telephone calls. I want to work."
So where will his next job come from? Here is a look at some possible locales where he may end up.
- Portugal National Team - Presently under the leadership of Luiz Felipe Scolari, he's the guy that guided Brazil to the World Cup in 2002 held in Korea and Japan. Big Phil is under some pressure right now in Portugal. The Portugeuse are struggling in their qualification for the European Championship to be held in 2008. In fact Big Phil has been banned for Portugal's next matches for throwing a punch at Serbian defender Ivica Dragutinovic during their 1-1 drawn match in Lisbon. Bookmakers have this move at a 1-2 chance at happening.
- Tottenham Hotspur - sp*rs have made a mess of things in the start of their Premier League season and current manager Martin Jol is under fire, much to my enjoyment. Should Mourinho like to stay in the Premier League this could be a possibility. Right now oddsmakers have this move down to a 6 to 1 shot at happening.
- England National Team - England have not looked convincing in their quest to qualify for Euro 2008. Steve McClaren has had the pressure eased a bit after two victories over Israel and Russia but their is still some concern. Bookmakers have this move at a 10-1 chance.
- Barcelona - The star studded team under the guidance of Dutchman Frank Rijkaard have made a less than exciting start to their La Liga season. Mourinho is used to working with super-star players and Barca are loaded. Odds on this one are 8-1.
For me I would rather see Mourinho take one of the national team jobs. His Chelsea teams, although they produced the results, played some of the most boring football out there. There is no denying that he had Chelsea's defense playing as a rock solid unit thereby limiting the chances that opponents got. His teams though really did not have that eye pleasing flow which really draws me in. But as they say it's results that speak loudest and I expect Mourinho will be employed rather quickly and producing results no matter where he ends up.
