What is with the yankees fans

     I have always wondered why there are so much yankees fans, they are everywhere!  Whenever I go to an Orioles-Yankees game, at Oriole park at Camden Yards, there is always yankees fans EVERYWHERE, I am always surrounded by them.  I thought everyone hated them.  It reminds me of all of those steeler fans, me being a steeler fan myself, at all three of the road playoff games in 2005, there was a majority of steelers fans, and there were terrible towels everywhere.  But I am sitting here watching the O's-Yanks game right now, and after the yankees hit five straight off of Baltimore reliever Cory Doyne, all I hear is cheering, what the hell is up with that!  Either the O's fans are turning on their own team, or there are a hell of alot of yankees fans.  Someone tell me what is up with that, please, the yankees are supposed to be the most hated team in sports.

A good 33% of the country are Yankees fans. We're everywhere. Anytime I go to ballparks that have nothing to do with the Yankees, there are still at least 2 other yankees fans there. You never see that with any other team. Only the Yankees... That's why the Yankees are the greatest.

Everyone loves a winner. And with the Yankees having won almost a quarter of all World Series they have a winner. All it will take is a few years of 80s like mediocrity to bring them back to the pack.

I have also noticed that they are really loud, O's fans and yankee fans always have fun at O's-yankees games, everytime we would start an orioles chant, yankee fans would always butt in and chant orioles suck, the only time that Camden Yards is loud, and usually sold out, is when we play the yankees.

Being a Yankee fan is sooooooo 20th century. Of course any Yankee fan born after 1920 is a bandwagon jumper... I wouldn't know what the word "suck" really means if it wasn't for the Yankees and their fans...

Anywhere you go, you'll see fans of popular teams. Take the Red Sox for example. When you're in Tropicina Field and the Red Sox are playing the Rays, it's like you're at Fenway Park with all the cheering that goes on there. You're gonna see Yankee fans and Red Sox fans in many places because people like winners. I know, there are huge amounts of fans of popular teams in many places, but that's just the way it goes, I guess.

Maryland is now for the general understanding that the Os blow...in my many experiences at superb camden yards, when they play the sox or yanks (or a team that his been good for a while), the stadium gets overrun... Its basically bandwagon jumpers...right now the bandwagon is known as "Red Sox Nation"
