What a Crock Of…!

Word out of Gainesville, FL, the natives on the campus of the University of Florida are un too happy with this whole BCS system. Is anyone happy with it outside the greater Columbus region and Los Angeles? However, allow me to finally welcome you guys to the party! Better late than never I guess. Seems as if the ole Urban Legend would like the whole country to believe that the Gators are getting shafted by the computers. While the record may indicate this may be true with Meyer’s belief, the reality of it is style points fellas…It’s all about style points. The only thing styling out of Gainesville, FL…Well, I’m at a loss for words on that!

Okay, so you guys have only lost one game on the year…Congratulations! You fellas want a cookie for that. It must be oh so tough beating UCF, Western Carolina, & Middle Tennessee. Oh alright, I know everybody in America plays cupcakes. Although let’s look at the other results, shall we? Barely getting by Vanderbilt, squeak one out against South Carolina, thanks to a kicker that can’t kick, survive the Tallahassee trip. Seems to me Wake Forest had to make that same trip to Tallahassee and how did that turn out for the Demon Deacons…I’ll let you figure that one out. So I fail to see all the beef the one Urban Meyer has with the BCS system. Now, I applaud your efforts of going to bat for your team…It’s what any good coach would do, but come on! You can’t honestly believe the hot air you’re blowing our way, Urban can you? It might be just me, but I fail to see your beef on this one!

The entire year, I’ve been saying there was two overrated teams in the country…One was Notre Dame & the other Florida. I never was quite sure who was overrated more? And I’m a Notre Dame fan for pete’s sake, but facts are facts. And those are the facts, Urban! Let’s seriously think about this for a second. What would happen if the Gators went up against the likes of an Ohio State, a USC, or a Michigan? When you barely survived several games in which you should’ve of easily dominated. I don’t want to hear all the SEC bull shit…How it’s the toughest conference in the country! You want a cookie for that too? Good teams find ways to dominant on a weekly basis, not survive by the hair on their chiny chin-chin! The only teams you dominated on the year were UCF & Western Carolina…Now if that doesn’t say BCS title shot, I don’t know what does? More impressive, victories over those teams, or scheduling Arkansas, Nebraska, & Notre Dame and taking all three behind the wood shed in the process. See, now that’s the difference from being a good team compared to a great team. Oh by the way, you’re neither! You my friend are just in charge of a lucky team!

Guess what, this weeks opponent for you guys in your nice little SEC Championship Game, Arkansas…Yeah, USC destroyed Arkansas the first game of the year on their home turf. Now granted a lot of shit has changed since then, although computers never change. They always receive the input and spit out numbers. You know, it’s all about that style point thing again! So I’m interested to see if you guys can take the Hogs behind the woodshed as USC did. I’m guessing not, although one advantage you guys do have…It’s on a neutral site. That’s something USC didn’t have the advantage of, but it didn’t really seem to matter…Now did it?

Just a suggestion, but how about scheduling better opponents for your non-conference games if you want a legitimate beef. Correct me if I’m wrong, but playing better competition, why doesn’t that give a better gage on how good a team is…Giving you the necessary style points. Then again, can’t do that right….I mean those kinds of games to go along with the SEC portion of the schedule is just mass suicide, right? Isn’t that funny when the Ole Ball Coach was still in G-Ville rolling up points on a weekly basis like a freaking video game, everything was fine…No politicking was needed. Now since he’s left, I guess Gainesville, FL has become a wine country. Who knew? Although, one thing…I hope everybody there has enough cheese to go with their wine?

Well, it’s time to wrap this beauty up….I need to go help Urban find his beef. Before I do, I just have one question…Where’s the Beef, Urban? See the difference? Style points, Urban…Style points!
