What Could Have Been!

[1] The New York Mets didn't accomplish anything this season. Their expectations weren't reached and they collapsed.
Winning the NL East was expected, but they didn't achieve their goal. Their performance wasn't good, and they couldn't compete.
It’s surprising, but it's their predicament. The Mets had issues, but didn't fix them.
Changes should be made, for a better performance. They'll improve, this off-season should help.
The problem is the bullpen. It should improve, because it caused trouble. They were over worked, with no rest. Money was sent, but it was wasted.
They were over worked, and broke down. Early in the season, the bullpen was successful. Now things have change, and not for the better.
Losing to the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals, and Florida Marlins, isn't acceptable for the Mets. The pitchers lost those games.
Tom Glavine won't be in New York next-season. He's likely to decline his 13 million options, but he needs time. "Tom and I have been having discussions since Sunday. As he has indicated on prior occasions, he's going to take time with his wife and his family and consider all of his options and then make his decision," Glavine's agent, Gregg Clifton, said. "It is doubtful he'll be able to conclude that process prior to Friday." He's lost a step, and hasn't improved. Glavine should retire, because his career is successful. Coming back wouldn't make sense, it could hurt his legacy.
Glavine has over 300 wins, that's Hall of Fame numbers. Glavine shouldn't do anything, just retire. Just forget about the option, and end his career. The Mets don't need him, he's old.
Get younger, and think future wise. Their starting pitching rotation should change. Orlando Hernandez and Pedro Martinez should be traded for younger pitchers. Their not producing and injury's are a factor.
The line-up is great, they were producing. Getting hits, and scoring runs, helped the Mets. Bad pitching put pressure on the line-up. They gave up, because the pitching couldn't produce.
Willie Randolph needs more energy, Mr. Nice Guy isn't helpful. When the Mets are struggling, anger will help. Willie won't be fired, he needs more time. There's pressure for Willie next season, he can't fail.
Omar Minaya didn't improve in the off-season. This off-season should be different, because he has pressure. Another failing off-season means "firing Minaya."
