Why do I want to sign up for a 30 day trial in which I have to pay $11.99 a year afterwards when I can read and post and comment all I want on AGM for free? Besides, I like hockey and all - but if people expect me to pay that for WHL news they're crazy.

The material that you get on AGM is comment by sports fans, not news. The $11.99 is for the magazine for the full year, which provides you with about 300-400 feature stories in all sports, photos, illustrations, crossword puzzles, etc. along with coverage of not only the WHL but about 43 other leagues and 800+ teams developing professional players. If you buy ESPN or SI, this is the minor league equivalent of same. Have a great one.

Allow me to disagree with you. AGm is much more than "comment by sports fans." It is news, commentary, editorials, reference, humor, and much much more. We are not a platform for you to advertise. I am sure that if you wish to tap into the well of AGM users, the owners (DNL, AWrigh01, Roblefko, and Pean) would be glad to sell you advertising space. If you do not wish to purchase advertising space on AGM, and your only interests in providing content is to provide a sentence teaser to sell your magazine, I would ask that you please refrain. You know what? MJD is 100% absolutely correct. I'm sick and tired of SI wannabes using the 'Chair as a free advertising platform to redirect readers over to their websites that charge to read their content. And ArmchairGM is hardly a messageboard service. I'd explain more but this anon does not give a crap about what happens here. These guys that founded the site worked their ass off so others could enjoy it without paying a cent. Either buy a banner for your redirects or get the fack out of here!

We put in our time helping build structure for AGM, and yes, these sites are a blend of fan and pro commentary. That is their benefit. Exposing fans to other avenues to see news that is relevent to them is part of expanding the information space.

Um, wrong, Minsports. What is posted here is news, and subsequent opinions by others. Notice why these opinions are called the "comment" section?

I respect, more than you know or believe, the fact you make at least part of your living off these subscriptions, but what you're doing here is equivalent to some Jesus freak knocking on my door holding a bible and a collection plate.

Tyrone is right, give us all a free 30 day subscription (or 15, doesnt matter) with no obligation past the timeframe, and let us all decide whether or not your site is worth it. If not, then respectfully move on.

Kelsdad - You get a 30 day free subscription when you sign up. PayPal asks if you want to buy after 30. Just reply with a no and you're out. Or go to PayPal and cancel at any time during the 30. But I believe that most of you don't get much in the way of quality minor league sports news where a lot more is happening these days, so Ill do one better. You send me a message that you want a subscription and I will give you one free for six months. No strings. Through my direct channel. It's not just me making a living my friend. We have 75 top journalists from around the country, twenty photogs, and Ken Jones, who is one of the best sports illustrators I've ever seen. I'll gladly put my money where my mouth is... You don't even need to do that.
