Wes Westrum (Wesley Noreen Westrum) was born on November 28, 1922 in Clearbrook, Minnesota. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1947 for the New York Giants. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 7 home runs and 28 RBI. Westrum played for the New York Giants for his entire 11 year career.

Most people believe that Wes Westrum's best season was 1950, when he slugged 23 home runs and knocked in 71 runs.
