Wells Out Because of Shoulder Injury

6
Vote

After blasting 3 HRs last night, the Toronto Blue Jays' OF Vernon Wells will sit out tonight (and possibly tomorrow) with a left-shoulder injury. "I did something to my shoulder," Wells told Sportsnet. "I can't really figure out when I aggravated it. It's definitely got some pain in it and hopefully it will be better after tonight. Then we got an off-day tomorrow (Thursday) and hopefully I'll be back in the lineup on Friday."

Hopefully he'll be OK. I like Vernon Wells, he's one of my favorite (non-Red Sox) players. Though I'm not unhappy to see him sitting against Boston.

What a shame. His reward for hitting 3 HRs in a game is an injured shoulder.
