Weldon Gentry (Weldon Christopher Gentry) was born on September 9, 1906 in Lawton, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Lawton (OK), Gentry attended the University of Arkansas and the University of Oklahoma. Gentry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 2 year career.
