Week 5 Giants review

I started to watch the Giants religiously in 1997, the first year of Jim Fassel’s coaching career, that year the Giants went 10-5-1 before losing to the Vikings in the Wild Card round. Since that loss the Giants have not handled prosperity well. When they are supposed to win the games that lay a stinker, when they are supposed to get bombed they put up a fight, like the game against Denver when they gave them their first loss.
That is why I am not totally ecstatic by the win on Sunday, but, I am extremely happy by the way they came back to win a game that was very loseable.
The defense played very well, although they still have trouble when passes go to the middle. They were helped out by sitting on soft passes, but, I’m sure that played a part in Coach Spags defense.
The offense was sporadic again looking unstoppable and then very stoppable. I was very happy with they dedication to the run shown in the second half which alleviated a ton of pressure on the suddenly human Eli.
The special team play is a total disaster.
Even with everything the team won the game and that is important when they come back this week and see a hungry Falcon team, who will play tough on Monday night.
