Last week I struggled, picking just 7 games out of 16 right. Here are my NFL picks for this week.
HOU over ATL
- Schaub will not have his best target, but he is facing a weak Atlanta defense. By the end of the day, Bobby Petrino will be sorry that he let him go.
BAL over CLE
- The Baltimore defense will be all over former teammate Jamal Lewis, and QB Derek Anderson will not be as explosive as he was against Cincinnati two weeks ago.
OAK over MIA
- Culpepper gets the start, and will be facing a beat up Dolphins defense. Lamont Jordan should have yet another big game.
CHI over DET
- I don't think the Detroit Lions are as good as they say. With Grossman out, and Griese in, the Bears won't turn the ball over as much, and the Bears defense will shut down Kitna and the Lions O.
NYJ over BUF
- J.P. Losman has been getting beat up so far this year, and NYJ QB Chad Pennington will have an explosive day against the Bills D.
GB over MIN
- Favre will lead the Pack over Minnesota's D, and will break the all-time TD record while doing it. This will be WR Donald Driver's breakout game, and will get 100+ receiving yards.
DAL over STL
- Romo, and Owens will have a big day against STL, as well as Big D's RB's Julius Jones, and Marion Barber the third. Bulger has yet to breakout with a big game thus far, and will not have a big day against Dallas.
SEA over SF
- The Seahawks defense is just too much for the Niners QB Alex Smith, he hasn't proved himself yet in his career, and his RB has been struggling as well.
TB over CAR
- Jeff Garcia did solid last week, and with Delhomme most likely out, Carolina will be in trouble against this defense.
SD over KC
- L.T. is struggling, along with the rest of the SD offense. KC's RB L.J. is struggling as well, and they have a very inexperienced QB in Damon Huard, and a weak WR corps.
INDY over DEN
- Peyton Manning is too much for young Cutler, and the Denver Broncos. Manning will blow up this defense, that's all I have to say.
PIT over ARI
- Big Ben will lead the Steelers to 30+ points, and their D will hit Leinart on every play, and I don't think Leinart will be able to last the whole game, and will be replaced by Warner again.
PHILLY over NYG
- McNabb broke out last week, and that won't change this week against NY's defense lead by Veteran DE Michael Strahan.
PATS over CINCY
- Brady, and Moss are one of the best QB-WR combos this year, and the Pats offense will beat the Bengals in a shootout.
Bye Weeks: TEN, NO, WAS, JAC
