NFL Picks Week 14

New York Giants (8-4) @ Philadelphia Eagles (5-7)

The news of Brandon Jacobs being “uncertain” for this week’s game is something of a downer for Giants fans everywhere. Jacobs has been so good when he’s been on the field this season that it’s hard to imagine what he could do if he wasn’t derailed by injuries. What remains to be seen is if this is a one-season thing or if 1 BIG RB is going to be dealing with injury problems throughout his career.

As far as this week goes, we won’t see another 12 sacks, but we probably will see more intense pressure on Donovan McNabb. Although Winston Justice won’t be matched up against Osi Umeniyora, but the Giants will be able to blitz a quarterback who is coming off an injury. Look for McNabb to struggle again.

The Eagles offensively are hardly dynamic. If you can stop Brian Westbrook, then you can stop the Eagles. Of course that’s easier said than done, but it’s not as hard as it’s been in the past due to a lack of a downfield passing game.

Offensively, look for more of the same from the Giants: Run, Run, Play Action Pass, Run, Run. It’s Anthony De Franco football at it’s best.

Eli: Just don’t turn it over.

Tom Coughlin: If Tha Juggernaut can’t play, give me more Ahmad Bradshaw.

Giants 27 – Eagles 13

Cleveland Browns (7-5) @ New York Jets (3-9)

Good win for the Jets. However, I feel like loyal reader Dave Bamdad was way too excited about beating the worst team in the history of football. However, let’s stay positive.

Thomas Jones got his first rushing TD in nearly a year.

Gutsy performance by Laverneous Coles; I love it when guys play well when hurt. It’s uplifting.

Decent job defensively.

Too bad that Derek Anderson and the Browns are coming to town this week. It’s been windy all week in New York, and the Jets have to hope that it continues.

Look for Braylon Edwards to blow up this week.

Browns 31 – Jets 14

Arizona wins? Without Boldin and potentially Larry Fitzgerald against a Seahawks defense that has allowed all of 9 TD's this season passing wise?
