Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants, 1:00 PM
The more I think about this game, the more worried I get about it.
The Giants weren’t going to be able to run the ball very effectively, even had Brandon Jacobs didn’t get hurt against the Lions on Sunday. Even so, it makes me very nervous that he might not be able to play. He’s been an excellent safety blanket for Eli.
Then there is the part of me that thinks that it’s a good thing that this is the week that he might miss. I mean, the Giants should be able to throw the ball all over the Vikes, and they won’t have to run much.
I have multiple personalities apparently.
On defense, the Giants will miss Mathias Kiwanuka, but will be able to get by without him. Although, the “four aces” package no longer exists (Fred Robbins will play in Kiwi’s spot,) He was probably the most expendable member of that package to lose. Gerris Wilkinson and Reggie Torbor will both have a chance to grab that linebacker spot for the rest of the season.
The Vikings offense will make this easy on the Giants’ Defense this week. They will stack the box on every single play to stop Chester Taylor. He may break off a couple of big runs, but should be controllable for most of the day.
I’ll be in Giants stadium for the game, so they better win.
Giants 20 – Vikings 10
New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys, 4:00 PM, Thanksgiving Day
Yes! The Jets were off the schneid for a whole four days!
Listen, That was a great victory, and I really hope that they Jets can put together another majestic win this week.
I just don’t think that it will happen.
Expect it to be closer than you would think, because the Cowboys have finally shown some kinks in their armor, but they will pull it off for the win.
