Week 11 Preview
Today is filled with great games, you've got the Pack taking on Carolina in Lambeau, Priest Holmes and KC taking on the Indy Colts, L.T. (and SD) taking on the great Jaguars D, and with Derek Anderson taking on the Ravens aging Defense, and I have only mentioned the good 1 P.M (ET) games. At 4 P.M. (ET), we have the 'Skins/'Boys facing off in the "Big D". Seattle, and their awesome passing attack playing the struggling Chicago Bears in the toughest stadium to play (Qwest Field in Seattle). And, if you're like me, you could watch the Pittsburgh Steelers' D tear apart the 1-8 NYJ in Giatns Stadium. How could I forget about the undefeated Pats taking on their Division Rival Buffalo Bills tonight at 8:15? Here is who will win today, and why.
1 P.M. Games
Bucs over Falcons
This is a must-win game for Atlanta, who is 3-6, but the Falcons will have to get their running game going if they want to win this one (actually TB will have to, as well). Garcia has had a great year so far, and the Falcons D will not be able to stop him, RB Earnest Graham, will have a big day, and TB improves to 6-4 with a 28-21 victory over ATL.
Bengals over Cardinals
Carson Palmer will have to be at the top of his game to win this one, considering the Bengals D, but I don't see that being a problem against this Cards Defense, Palmer will have a big day with Houshmandzadeh, and Johnson, and it will be a shootout (like most Bengals games), Cincy comes out on top on acount of an explosive offense. 35-31.
Giants over Lions
Eli Manning has had a fantastic season, and it will continue against the Detroit Lions. With Plaxico Burress, and Jeremy Shockey going up against the 30th ranked passing defense in the NFL, Eli will have a big game, and Osi Umenyiora and Co. will attack Kitna and force 3+ INT's. NYG win big 31-13.
Packers over Panthers
Carolina is starting Veteran, Vinny Testaverde at QB against the Packers 10th best Defense in the NFL. I haven't even mentioned the fact that Steve Smith may miss the game (game-time decision), and Favre has been on fired the last 3 games, as he faces off with Carolina's 13th ranked defense. GB wins 21-17.
Colts over Cheifs
I don't think that Indy's injuries will have much of an affect on the game this week. With Larry Johnson out, and rusty veteran, Priest Holmes in, I don't see the Cheifs getting over 100 yards, and inexperience QB, Brodie Croyle will not have a shot even against the injury-ridden Colts. Manning, and Addai have big games in the 31-21 win over KC.
Raiders over Vikings
Without Peterson, the Vikings have no shot, and neither team will have a shot with the running game. This is, by far, the worst game of the week, both teams won't have any offense, what-so-ever. But, Oakland has the edge with a more experienced offense. Oakland wins the low-scoring game 14-10.
Eagles over Dolphins
Westbrook will have a big day on the ground, as well as through the air, against the banged up secondary of Miami. With a Rookie under center for Miami (John Beck), Philadelphia will be blitzing all day, and the Eagles will easily shut out the Dolphins, who will remain winless. Philly 28, Miami 0.
Chargers over Jaguars
Jacksonville's D will keep L.T. in check, but MJD will not have a big day either, both Defenses will shut down the run game, but Jacksonville won't stop the Rivers to Gates combo, and SD holds off the Jags' QB, David Garrard. SD wins 21-20.
Browns over Ravens
The Ravens are in a big hole here, with Boller starting, I don't see the Ravens winning this one. Derek Anderson will continue his surprising success against the Ravens D, and Jamal Lewis will let it loose against his former team. Cleveland will improve to 6-4 as Baltimore falls to 4-6, after a Cleveland win 38-17.
Saints over Texans
Brees, and Bush will have a great day against the Texans 18th best Defense. Houston will struggle on offense without Schaub, and RB, Ahman Green hasn't made a big impact, which is why Houston is 23rd in the NFL in Rushing YPG, NO is all the way back at 27th, but they are 4th in Passing Offense, and will dominate through the air. Saints win it 27-13.
I'm out. Enjoy today's games!!!
