Weaver an Angel

Jeff Weaver has not moved very far, but ends up significantly richer. The hurler signed a one-year, $8.4 million deal with the Angels. The contract allows Weaver to earn an additional $600,000 in performance bonuses. Last year, Weaver won 14 games for the Dodgers, posting a 4.22 ERA and a respectable 1.1741 WHIP. Weaver joins an Angel's staff that includes Bartolo Colon, Kelvim Escobar, Ervin Santana, and John Lackey.

Way too much money. His ERA should go way up--he's leaving Dodger Stadium and moving to the AL.

4.22 isn't even that great in the NL, given the ballpark he tossed half his games in...he was pretty solid across the year, but just had some real bad stinkers mixed in

When he was in DET he also had a crappy ERA and a low WHIP. He's a frustrating pitcher.
